Power line booster failed to obtain ip

Got this WiFi booster and set it up after a nightmare trying to get the connect app to do it. In the end I had to do it through its webpage, but now it's done I can see the WiFi ssid throughout the house. However when I try and connect to an area where the booster covers I get one of two messages, either "authentication error" or "failed to obtain ip", this is extremely frustrating as it now seems like the WiFi in the house is even worse than before!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pull both parts out and back in again

Re: Power line booster failed to obtain ip

All sorted now, I had to reboot my hub to get it all to work. Didn't need to do anything to the booster itself.

Re: Power line booster failed to obtain ip

Seems like it was a short term fix, worked for a day and now getting the same issue. These boosters are terrible.

Re: Power line booster failed to obtain ip

Same here.  Installed two boosters on Friday.  Worked fine today cannot connect to them.  Unable to obtain IP address.  Reset Hub, re-paired, rebooted boosters.  Still don't work.

Re: Power line booster failed to obtain ip

They're terrible, constantly disconnecting and resetting themselves and you get zero support. It's ridiculous.

Re: Power line booster failed to obtain ip

Just stop using the hub in router mode and use it in modem mode with your own router with 1Gb ports.
