Possible Broadband or hub problem?

When I make Skype calls for work or attend ‘Teams’ meetings my connection is really poor and keeps dropping out. The calls cut out or distort and the Teams sessions just drop out,  I can’t get to speak to anyone at Virgin about it. Can anyone help?

Re: Possible Broadband or hub problem?

What is your contracted speed ?

Which Hub do you have ?

What speeds do you get at >> speedtest.net << with a direct connection using a Cat 5E or better cable between the Hub in Router Mode and a 1Gbs capable Pc/Mac/Chromebook and no other devices connected ?

Re: Possible Broadband or hub problem?

Hi,

im no expert at this sort of stuff so I hope I can answer your questions!

I have the M50 Fibre broadband package which I understand has a download speed of normally 53-54 mbps and an upload speed of 5 mbps.

I have the Super Hub 2.

I have run the speed test and will post a screen shot of the result...

Re: Possible Broadband or hub problem?

Have you tried using a wired connection instead?

Re: Possible Broadband or hub problem?

No I hadn’t. Although it wouldn’t be very convenient.

Regardless, that’s the way to Speedtest.

Wireless speeds are not guaranteed.
