I'm having problem with poor broadband quality. The connection is very choppy. Speed test shows correct ping and download/upload values however I see that every so often pages take a few seconds to start to connect. When I go to an any known website (with good servers) it sometimes takes about 10-20 seconds to connect before loads quickly. I have started Broadband Quality Monitor sometime ago and I have noticed 40%-80% packet loss which for me indicate some network issues.
My setup is Hub provided by Virgin Media in modem only mode and Asus RT-AC86U to deal with the rest of the of my network.
Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.
Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.
On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)
In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.
Can you please
Type 192.168.0.1 (192.168.100.1 in Modem mode) into your browser URL bar and press enter.
Hub 2 & 3 When the page appears DO NOT LOG IN but click ‘Check Router Status’.
Hub 4 When the page appears LOG IN then click ‘Check Router Status’.
Copy and paste the contents of the Downstream, Upstream and Network Log tabs onto here, if you get a yellow warning click the Post button again. Use one post for each tab if you wish. Please do not use screen grabs.
That's the hub has been reset. It has been in up right position since delivered. It is far from sources of heat as well.
If you check my broadband monitor the lost packets disappeared roughly at the time you have posted your first message. High ping is still there. On checking the ping on random ping tests it is high but I also get 200-300 ms spikes every few seconds.
