Ping Spikes

Hello I am not very much so clued up with this stuff but the last two weeks I've been running in to some severe ping spikes

I go from running 10minutes on 10ping then later it shoots to 500 ping.

I've tried resetting the router, I've tried upgrading my ethernet cable to a cat8 ethernet, I've tried factory resetting my PC, I've tried disabiling all my antivirus and firewall settings. Nothing is working.

I've ran ping tests to my modem 192.168.0.1 - avg 1-2ms

I've ran ping tests to google through cmd and I get avg 20ms then random shoots up to 200+

I am from UK and I play on UK servers.

I never used to have this problem.

It's really stressing me out please what more can I do ?

Would getting a router and going to modem mode whilst still using an ethernet cable help at all ?

I am the only user of the internet m350 package with ethernet always.

Please I beg someone help it's sending me insane

Re: Ping Spikes

Can you setup a quality monitor: https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality

This will give us more insight into your connection.

But note that whilst download speeds are guaranteed, ping times and latency are not, if it's just the occasional ping spike, it may not be fixed anytime soon.
