Permanent red light on hub 3 router

Red (over heated) light showing for months on my Hub 3 router. It is in a very good open position but despite frequent resets and switching off overnight, the red light persists. It never seems hot or evern warm! Occasionally the WiFi momentarily drops out. I am defeated as there seems to be no direct way of reporting this fault or getting the equipment replaced!

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Hub 3. It may be that the hub needs replacing. Just to confirm, have you already tried a factory reset in case it a fault with the lights?  You can find how to reset your hub here:  https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-reset-your-hub
