Packet loss and low upload

Hello. I have had problems with intermittently terrible upload speeds for a little over 12 months now with multiple engineers visiting with no resolution.

  • The issue is present over wired or wireless
  • the issue is present in modem or router mode
  • I have performed countless pin resets of the hub 4

I run the hub 4 in modem mode usually. (as above, issue persists regardless). Network is as follows

  1. hub 4 (Modem mode)
  2. ASUS AX5400
  3. Cat 7 cable (5 meters)
  4. TP-Link TL-SG105S Gigabit switch
  5. Cat 7 cable (3 meters)
  6. PC

I have previously confirmed the issue persists when plugged directly into the Hub 4 NOT in modem mode.

BQM should be attached. The packet loss times directly correlate with the near total loss of upload. Download remains fine. These periods differ when they happen day to day. Sadly, they tend to happen right where I need to be working. This is severly effecting my earnings now - I'm a full time content creator. Upload stability is vital.

The block of packet loss is where I have my networking equipment automotaically restart at 2am every day (I was fed up with being told to reboot my hub constantly).

Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community.

I am sorry to hear of the issues with the upload speed.

I have done a system check and there was an SNR issue (signal to noise ratio) that was resolved. 

I've then checked your current levels and everything is now in spec and no area issues are showing. I hope that means everything is now resolved but do let us know if not and we'll happily assist further.

Connect PC to hub in modem mode (allow power off hub 2mins) with PC in safe mode with networking to do a speed test.

Then again just a reboot of the hub may fix it for a bit.
