Over promise under deliver

An ongoing wifi problem that the first POD was supposed to sort and didn't - I feel that I was sold a dream and delivered a paper bag! The uber wifi promise has never been delivered since I switched from BT to Virgin - the hub strength scans is very high but the Wifi strength is no better than I got from BT. I have to question what benefits I have gained from switching - my daughter keeps getting data messages from her mobile supplier that she has used too much data when at home - the truth of the matter she should be on the virgin wifi but there is no signal if the PODS do not sort it then I will be considering my options for the future.

One option for the future you should consider now is to invest in better equipment.

You would need to get either a…

(1) Mesh System, (2) Wireless router, (3) Wireless access point, (4) a pair of good quality Wifi Powerline Adaptors, or a combination of (2&3).

£40-100 should sort it for most customers with an average property and usage. Spend more for additional advanced“features” - if required.  This is yours to own forever and to use with VM or any other ISP you move to in the future.  I did that in 2001 and have never had a single wifi issue caused by the ISP.

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & TNT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi), Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.
