We are experiencing an outage in our area - many people are saying the same. Can’t get an engineer until Tuesday though. Any ideas how this can be escalated?

Yup, I'm in SW18 and it's down. I checked the service checker and it said it was going to be fixed at 02:00 this morning, then checked again and it said 10:00 and now it's saying it won't be fixed until 16:00 today. Keeps getting pushed forward.
I only joined a couple of days ago and switched the broadband on for the first time yesterday. I got 2 hours out of it before it all goes down in my area... not a good start.
Have you had broadband with them for a long time living in SW18? If so is it often like this or is it usually ok?
Not sure if I should stick around or cancel within my grace period.

I would cancel while I can to be honest. Our service has been down in SW15 (Roehampton area) over the same timeframe as yours and they keep pushing the resolution time back. I have an issue every other week with Virgin Media and I am entirely frustrated. Moreover they keep increasing their charges. The only phone calls I ever get from them is from their sales team seeing how they can get more money out of me.
So now no TV and no broadband in 2 days - I can’t even switch on the hot water because it’s all WiFi reliant - shameful network

Please, allow us to advise when an outage is present there are no appointments needed so to resolve this - as an area issue this would be dealt with by our engineers once we've been notified there's a problem locally.
In the event you've previously called and we booked a technician visit for you while this area issue was confirmed to be causing this after we scheduled it, this may be put on hold while we're working on the area fault and we'd expect the services to be back up and running as soon as this has been cleared.
