Ordering wifi pods

I'm trying to find a way to order a wifi pod without sucess.  I've tried on the connect app and also on the website and it just keeps taking me round in circles.  From what I've read I can have a free pod as I'm on a Volt package.

I'm having coverage issues in one part of the house and need the pod to hopefully resolve this. 

Can an admin pick this up please and help?

Sorry to see you are having problems ordering the wifi pods. VM will only send out one at a time, and there must be at least  7 days before ordering each one. It's up to three in total depending upon coverage.

They are free if you are on the Gig1 package, or Ultimate Oomph, or on a Volt bundle, however if you are on any other package then they are £8  a month.

I hope the following helps. You need to use the Connect app to perform the Home Scan in the area where the signal is low(est)

The info below is a copy paste of the steps provided by @John_GS  (Forum Team) in how to order them when using the Connect app.

  • Tap Start the scan 
  • Then Start the scan again 
  • While connect to WiFi, Tap I’m ready 
  • Wait 2 mintues for Scan 
  • Scan complete, Tap continue 
  • Tap Add a room, Tap the room you're in 
  • Start the Scan (do this in every room) 
  • Scan complete 
  • Tap Optimise WiFi now if an option 
  • If so, Tap Optimise 
  • Optimisation complete, Tap Rescan room,  Tap Start Scan 
  • Tap Order a WiFi Booster if an option

If that doesn't work you can call  0800 064 3850 to order the first one

Thanks for taking the time to post in regards to the Pod ordering issues and wireless network problems. we appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums and welcome to the community.


It's been a few days since your post, were you able to follow the steps offered by newapollo and order a pod via the Connect App? Let us know, we also have help here for wireless network improvements for signal strength and range.

I'm nor  furhter forward a the minute.  Have been unable to order through the connect app, even though I've had speeds of 17 & 19 mbs in the room I'm having an issue with. Have tried to get through to speak to someone without success, just referred back to doing tests via Connect. I'm trying to go through online chat currently to see if I can get any further, but don't hold out much hope as last time I tried this I was told to use the Connect app.

Can't find a way to request through my account - I'm on a Volt package so I know the first pod should be free.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Hopefully resolved now, have managed to order one through onlone chat after jumping through a few hoops!!
