Online banking and wifi

Hi, both me and my son have been trying to log in to Halifax online banking through our phones via WiFi and it doesn't work. Once we turn WiFi off and do it through our networks data is works fine. Contacted Halifax and they've checked and there's no problems their end. And help would be greatly appreciated!!

Can you load the Halifax website ok?

 hopefully that pic loads... that's what I get as soon as I try to load Halifax whilst using WiFi.

Hi, it says.. Error 1007  ID 62946416. As long as I'm not using my WIFI? I can log in. The moment I use my WIFI? That's what I get.

Hi, we have got the same problem since yesterday.

Using the mobile phones connected to the wifi we can't login on online banking (websites and apps), while using our data we don't have any issue. What's the problem??

Hi tHiskitten,

Thanks for using the forums to get this issue looked into, I am sorry you've got a problem with your online banking. 

I am also with Halifax and love to use the online app myself, I have tried signing in myself and its not had any issues whilst connected to my Virgin WIFI at home or on my computer which is also WIFI connected so its not a wide spread issue from what I can gather. 

Are you having any issues on other apps such as Netflix, Facebook, etc?

I had this and it was related to an ad blocker running against Halifax's various URLs.

Do you have any ad blocking on your devices?

Hi, after 2 weeks of doing it? It seems to have just sorted itself out and started working. Strange huh?! No idea why it did it in the first place and it was only when connected to WIFI and only Halifax. But it's all sorted so it's great for me!!
