Old Network

Some time ago I had a new router but an old network still appears. It doesn’t work but continually appears. Prime Video keeps trying to connect.

How can I remove this obsolete network?

Re: Old Network

Do you have a powerline booster or range extender somewhere still broadcasting the old network details?

Re: Old Network

No booster or extender to my knowledge.

I commented to the Virgin engineer who set up the new hub some years ago. He was a bit vague about why the old network was still showing saying it sometimes happens.

Re: Old Network

Is it actually broadcasting or are you just seeing a list of saved networks,?

Re: Old Network

No it doesn't 'sometimes happen' for no reason, something is still broadcasting the old SSID - almost certainly (as stated by @gary_dexter) a long-forgotten wifi booster or wifi power line adapter.

If it’s in your list of previously joined networks just delete it

If you delete the SSID from your iPad then reboot the iPad does the rogue SSID re-appear ?

Re: Old Network

Thanks for your patience Gary. It appears in my list of other networks but I can’t see anyway to delete it.
