Old Hub 3.0 as signal booster/extender?

I’m currently living in a 3-storey student house, and the last tenants left us their Virgin Hub 3.0 when they left. Since we use another Hub 3.0 as our primary Wi-Fi on the bottom floor, we were wondering if it would possible to use this secondary Hub 3.0 as a “booster” for the signal on the top floor. I’ve tried setting it up, changing the names/passwords/DNS/IP like all the other boards say, but I can’t seem to create a new signal without simply blocking the original one. Also it says my internet access is “denied”. Does anyone know how I could work my way around this?

Re: Old Hub 3.0 as signal booster/extender?

The old Hub 3 should have been returned as it is property of Virgin Media.
