I have just notices that I get 'Not secure' when connecting to my Hub 3.0 and that when I try to connect to local IP addresses, eg 192.168.0.33 I get 'Your connection is not private' message and am asked for answers to security questions! Am using a Netgear Mesh system so Hub is in Router mode only. I cannot find any solutions to this.

To resolve disable WPA-PSK in the Netgear Wi-Fi security settings for both 2.4 & 5 GHz bands.
Use WPA2-PSK only and the iPhones & iPads will be quite content with the security of the connection.

Hi,
that is the setting I have. I never used to get this problem so very puzzled. When I try to connect to one of my Mesh units I get asked to answer security questions!

We are assuming that this is problem of a Wi-Fi connection.
We do not know what kit you are using - so what is it please ?
Can we see a screen shot or copy / paste of these questions ?

A quick scan of the Netgear documentation for their latest mesh offerings suggest that the security questions might be linked to a password reset feature of the mesh system. If you set up a password reset feature it says it will prompt for two security questions. If you initiate a password reset it will prompt for security questions.
The 'Not secure' and 'Your connection is not private' may be a browser warning if you are using a http connection to access the router. The Netgear system also seems to have a feature to require https connection to access, in which case the browser may be warning about the self signed certificate on the router.
Are you able to access the Netgear router interface? The Netgear equipment seems to be on a 192.168.1.# range by default.
If you are using a Netgear mesh system why are you still using the VM hub in router mode? Are you using the Netgear equipment in an access point arrangement? Did you mean modem mode at msg #1 above?

Hi Goslow and Client62. Thanks for the answers so far.
I am using the Hub3.0 as the router and the Netgear Orbi for wifi. I get the private connection problem both on wifi and via Ethernet. When using Edge on PC when I connect to the hub it says not secure on the address line. When I try to connect to an Orbi satellite on 192.168.0.39 say, I get the private connection message. Again it does not matter what method I am using.

It's normal for a router (or any other local device with a web interface on your network) to show as Not Secure in the address line. As this is only accessible on your own network, and not via the internet, it is not something to be concerned about.
For instance here's my ASUS Router:

Your description sounds like the browser enforcing a https connection
which would be a normal message to see accessing devices on your own network. I see the same kind of warning when I try to log into my hub with http
Can you access the web interface for the Netgear devices?
As asked by Client62 at msg #4, some details of the Netgear equipment you are using and some screenshots (with any personal info removed) of what you are seeing may help generate some more/better responses.
