Not finding sim

Hi

I have downloaded virgin media connect app. No issues connecting to the router but when i try and connect to the mobile section it asks me to switch off wifi and use mobile data to activate the sim. At this point i do this and the page doesnt refresh and gets stuck on activate my sim. 

Im with virgin mobile and i got a new sim too but same problem. 

Anyone else had same issue?

My sim is fine. It has full signal. The app just doesnt recognise it.
