No access to internet from laptop DNS Server not responding
I have not been able to connect my laptop to the internet for over 3 months (no problems prior for almost 2 years) It says DNS server not responding. I cannot connect with ethernet cable either. It is the only device I have and need to connect (my Vodaphone mobile will connect although for test purpose). My laptop will connect to Sky broadband though as a friend took it to their house and tried. I have called customer service team with no success as tests run and told must be issue with my laptop. I spoke to Disconnection team a few days ago and a helpful lady split signal to 2.4ghz and 5, but it still didn't work. So she sent me a new router. I can still not connect my laptop to the internet though (and incidentally my landline no longer works).
I am at a complete loss as to what to do and would rather it can be fixed than have to move elsewhere.
What can I do? (I am not very technical by the way)
