No WiFi in some rooms

Hi,

I live in a 1-bed ground floor flat. My router has been installed in the living room, which is located at the front of the house. It works fine for about 2 thirds of the flat - then stops working in the kitchen and bathroom.

Can/will Virgin help fix this - I guess they'd either need to move the router or I'd need a booster somewhere?

Thanks for any advice!

Re: No WiFi in some rooms

First thing to do would be to split the wifi bands into their 2.4 and 5G bands!

5G is faster but has much less range!

Sometimes devices will try to connect to this and fail!

Also disable intelligent wifi

to do this, navigate to 192.168.0.1
Log in
Go to advanced --> Wireless settings
Just name the 5G the same SSID as the 2.4G one with with _5G at the end

Save the settings - Wifi will disconnect

Try and access the SSID without the 5G name

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your WIFI signal. Have you tried the great advice given by @lotharmat? Is the issue still ongoing?

Thanks,
