What model of hub?
Any lights flickering or indications from it?
Do you have any devices that you can connect to the hub with a network cable, and if so, do you have internet access then? If you don't have a desktop computer then most laptops and netbooks have a suitable ethernet connection port, and a standard ethernet cable is about five quid from the likes of Screwfix, or half the price online.
Download a wifi analyzer app to your phone, is that detecting any network from your hub?
