No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out

My broadband has been suffering intermittent losses for several weeks. I have checked that there are no known network issues, have done all the necessary cable checks and rebooted the router many times. Referring to my router logs, I have discovered that they contain many “No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out” entries.

Is this a router problem or a WAN issue?

Your downstream levels are too high.

Unless there's an area issue you'll need an engineer

An engineer came on 26 Jan and adjusted downstream levels, but the problem still exists.

Usually, if there is loss of internet, I would still be able to see local devices, including the router. However, that is not the case. I get random loss of internet together with simultaneous loss of connectivity on my LAN and WiFi. This would lead me to believe that the router is failing.

I am booking another engineer appointment but, for reference here are the logs:

I seem to have the same problem, and am awaiting an engineer.

Was your issue resolved and if so how?

A second engineer called. She checked and renewed all the connections between the street cabinet and the house. She also installed another router. However, the problem still exists, to a lesser extent, and I have now registered a complaint. I think that there may be a wider network problem as well.
