I'm losing whats left of my hair over thisevery time i contact virgin they say they see nothing wrong , i don't understand as i can check the logs and clearly see the mac address of the cable connection not being able to communicate with the next hop - Don't they check logs remotely ? I agree with a similar thread I read previously that there is probably a physical connection issue to the street distribution box or switch creating noise.
How do I check my downstream levels on the router ?
when this occurs , which is everyday (many times sometimes no re-connection for over 2 hours) all the connections fail Ethernet and wifi the router disconnects and goes into reboot or tries to re-establish connection .
I have disconnected all my Ethernet connections to test any external interference sending the router into a mental state , but it still does it with out any Ethernet connected and as mentioned above the complaints in the log are associated with my router talking to the outside world as i do not recognize the second mac address in the log.

In your browser’s URL box type in http://192.168.0.1 (or http://192.168.100.1 - if in modem mode) and hit return. On the first page up [there should be no need to login if you have done so before] click on the “router status” icon at top right (SH2’s) or the text at bottom-middle of first page up (Hub3) and then copy/paste 3 FULL sets of data onto here – from the downstream, upstream, & network logs pages. Don't worry too much about the formatting it can be easily read & DON’T include personal data or MAC addresses - blank them out - if you copy/paste the data, the board software will do this for you.

It looks like My next door neighbour got virgin on the case and rectified a component or switch from the street box by the sounds of it , but I still have errors from earlier that can be viewed , if you didn't mind would you know how to read the upstream / downstream information regarding signal strength so that I can check in the future
