New Hub5 installed - to deliver the superspeedy 1G service.
Variety of speed tests done - all showing lower than 100M performance (which is precisely the same figure as my old 500M delivered).
What am I doing wrong?

"all showing lower than 100M" - this is typical of a failing network cable de-rating from 1000 to 100Mb/s
