Network ID

My home network shows two choices: VMXXXXXXX, which I use to connect and which is the number on my Tivo3 box, and "Virgin Media".  Why am I seeing two? The latter does not belong to either of my neighbours.

Re: Network ID

“Virgin Media” is a hotspot for other customers. It doesn’t affect you network but many people prefer to disable/opt out which can be done in My Virgin Media somewhere...

Re: Network ID

Thanks for prompt answer. So, if signal strong enough, anyone would park outside my house and use the network?

Re: Network ID

Essentially, yes.

it’s kept completely separate to your own network though.

Re: Network ID

it doesn't yours you internet. VM create another connection back into the VM network using another profile. It doesn't use your internet speeds
