Moving Router Downstairs

So I’ve seen a few questions on this but not an answer in my exact situation.

I currently have my Super Hub 3 in what is now our main bedroom. It was the spare room but now due to a new arrival to the family the rooms have had to be moved around.

We used to have a V6 box downstairs, but having long since given up watching live TV we cancelled the TV service. We still have the cable downstairs for the TV box, but nothing is plugged in. Can I simply move the router from upstairs and plug it into the old cable for the TV?

I don’t like the idea of forking out £99 for someone to just come round and move a box in about 60 seconds.

Re: Moving Router Downstairs
