Move FTTP box inside

Hi, just went live with the Virgin 350 broadband. They installed a brown box outside of my home. Is it possible to move it inside, as it is very easy to open and cut the wire?

Re: Move FTTP box inside

No, all Virgin Media properties have a connection box on the outside in addition to any internal wiring.

Re: Move FTTP box inside

thanks for the quick reply.

End if i ask to redo the wire that comes from the underground "central box" to my omnibox so that it's long enough to go inside?
Would that do?
Not sure why it has to stay outside.

And the yellow cable that is inside the box? What is it?

(Pardon my ignorance, i'm new to coax and "glass" cables)

Re: Move FTTP box inside

if you are worried about a metal box around it.
You can't modify the cable yourself.
the yellow tables sounds like fibre do you have FTTH

Re: Move FTTP box inside

the 360 box is still coax. all FV services work on coax. it just depends if its converted to coax at your house or the green box
