M350 speed seems slow

Hello,

I've recently moved property and taken my existing Virgin Media equipment with me.  Having now set up in the new property the internet felt a little slower than usual so I've run a test on SpeedTest.net to discover I'm averaging around 90mps.

I'm running my Hub 3.0 in Modem Mode, hooked up to a DD-WRT firmware router (with pretty much stock settings) all through CAT6 and higher and my Win 10 PC reports it's connected at gigabit speed.

All my SNR DB's under Downstream show at 38/40 but I did notice I'm getting errors on channel 20?

Any ideas (thanks in advance 🙂 )

Re: M350 speed seems slow

Check the coax connection is seated properly and tightly.

90Mbps could also indicate an Ethernet cable fault.

Re: M350 speed seems slow

Thanks for the quick advice - once my 12 year old gives me permission to take the internet down for 15 mins I'll give this route a check.

Re: M350 speed seems slow

Change of cable (new CAT8 from Hub to Router) looks to have bumped speed up to around 150mbp-ish so it's an improvement. Will keep digging though - ta

Hi @glennr777.

Thanks for your post 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing slow speeds, I appreciate this is frustrating and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

I've managed to locate your account and everything seems to be performing as it should on our end, please keep us updated on how things perform with the new ethernet cable.

Thanks,

Sofia
