I am continuously receiving instances while either in a game or using voice chat where it's as if I am entirely disconnected from the internet for 2 to 3 seconds, and it will perform fine afterwards.

I have only just turned on my desktop so the results I am looking at are from around the past hour or so, anyone know how I can prevent this from happening?

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the spikes in the connection your desktop 😞
May I ask if you're able to perform a hard reset on the Virgin Media router please? Pop a pin in the reset pin hole for 40 seconds.
Also is your connection wired or wireless? Let us know.
