There is a small technicality missed so far.

If you change your IP to get access to a  remote system you have been blocked from,  that falls under the computer misuse act.

Specifically

Offences under the act include hacking, unauthorised access to computer systems

Not in the interest of kicking OP, I get it was a throwaway remark. But as pointed out by OP, people keep asking. For spurious reasons mostly. So I thought Id point out why its a bad idea....

and before you think that nothing happens about hacking. I've had someone arrested and charged for it in the past when i identified someone that hacked one of my game servers. and yes they got a police record for it.
