Iphone issues with WIFI

Hi, My Iphone is having trouble with connecting to Virgin Wifi. If i reset it i can connect but as soon as the phone goes to sleep it loses it and uses 4G, turning off mobile data also does not help. I have zero issues in any other wifi areas and my wife's identical iphone connects to our Virgin hub along with all the other devices at home. I am up to date with IOS etc. Any help on this one please?

Hey huesey1974, thank you for reaching out and  a warm welcome to the community I am sorry to hear this.

I have taken a look and your WIFI is looking great, the levels are very good.

Do all the other devices connect no problem like your wifes phone?

If this is the case there could be an issue with the actual phone. Cheers

After a MacOS/iOS update, it may auto turn on Automatic Proxy Discovery for all Wi-Fi networks - so turn it off in network settings as per message 7. In iOs go to Settings>WiFi> tap the blue”I” icon and scroll down and make sure Configure Proxy/‘ is set to off - also that Configure DNS and Configure IP are set to automatic

Cant connect as password is incorrect on iPhone (& Andrex)……. this sorted it…

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Its only my phone that has this issue, it works on any other WIFI with no issues though. only on my newly installed Virgin system.

Hi,

Turns out Virgin media does not like my VPN being on. Works when turned off.

From the Virgin Media account ,  Disable Child Safe in order to allow a VPN to work.
