Every few days my wifi drops out. When I'm on my phone, pages don't load up. I go into settings, click on connections and my wifi says connected with no internet. I have to switch my wifi off on my phone and back on again for it to work. I also switch off my hub 5 and back on again. Still happens every few days.

If you want uptime use hub in modem mode and get a better router with 1Gb ports

Actually happened 3 times since my last post 🙄

Hi Paulpal67,

Thanks for taking the time to post about the issues you're having with your connection. 

I'm sorry to hear that you are having continued issues with your WiFi network. 😔 Checking our systems, I can see all is looking well with the Hub in terms of power and signal levels, uptime and time outs. There are no faults open i your area that may be affecting you either. 
There are so many things that can influence a WiFi connection some of which include but are not limited to, a fish tank being in the same room, walls being built with concrete instead of brick, it could even be that your next door neighbours router is interfering with yours. Due to this, we are only able to offer limited help. Please have a look here 👉 WiFi Help
The Hub's location could also be causing the coverage problem so we do need to check the positioning of it. Can you please ensure the following: 

  • Out in the open
  • Next to the TV not behind it
  • Away from large bodies of water (e.g. fish tanks)
  • Away from baby monitors and cordless phones

Think of the Hub as a radio, and WiFi as the sound - the further away you are from the radio, or the more obstacles that are in the way (walls, electronic devices etc.), the quieter the radio & the poorer the WiFi.

Still happening. Never had any bother before and my hub has never been moved. I got a wifi mesh pod. Don't know if it's anything to do with that

Still happening. Was watching you tube and started buffering. Checked my phone and said, connected without internet. Went onto my app and couldn't find my hub and wifi pod. Took a min to reconnect. Only happening since i installed wifi pod

Dropout has been happening since installed wifi mesh pod. Switched it off for a few days and my wifi hasn't dropped out once. I need my wifi pod for my ring video in my garden 🙄

We're sorry to hear this, it does seem strange that it would cause this to happen. Can you try to reset your WiFi Pod completely, which would mean setting it up from scratch again and see if this still happens?
