Internet keeps dropping - Hub 3.0 in router mode - LAN login FAILED : Incorrect Username / Password

I've been running my hub 3.0 in modem mode without issues for several months.  Last week we had a short outage (not unusual) but since then I've been experiencing problems. 

After various resetting everything up, reboots and the like, I've figured out that every so often (and getting more frequent) the ethernet ports on the back of my hub 3.0 stop working.  If i unplug my router and move it to any other port (i thought only one worked in router mode?) then everthing works fine for a while, but then after some time it all stops and I lose internet to my router.  Again, switching to any other port seems to resolve the issue.

My external router is set to dynamic IP allocation and I keep seeing this error in the Hub 3.0 logs :-

I've seen a few other cases of this in the forum, but no definitive solution?

Any help gratefully received!  I'm getting bored with getting off my backside to unplug/re-plug the ethernet cable 🙂

Its modem mode not router mode. 

connect PC to hub and test how stable it is

This is what our Hub records when I have entered the wrong password for the Hub's menu.

Thanks I corrected the error - I don't have a PC/laptop with a lan port in it, so I can't do that test.  Any other ideas please/

that would make sense as i did forget the password when I logged in to view the logs after it happened...

In this system the Hub is not the only component capable of causing the failure reported.
The network cables and your Router are also critical pieces of this internet connection.
