Internet drops out numerous times daily

Hi, 

My internet is dropping out at least 5 times a day. I have the Hub 3 switched on to the modem mode and use a netgear nighthawk router. I have reset the hub 3 and turned on and off numerous times. I can't get through to Virgin as its all automated and would appreciate some help.
