Since Tuesday I've had no internet connection from Virgin Media, I'm having to use my PlusNet connection to write this.
Anyway, since Tuesday my Superhub 3.0 has had a green power light and the internet light is flashing green.
Now, I've tried rebooting the device, factory resetting the device, tried the pin hole reset for 10 second and 60 seconds. On Wednesday I had a friend come round to check it for me, he works for Virgin Media, basically there is a signal coming through the cable but for whatever reason the router isn't doing anything with it, the last thing he tried was putting the Superhub into modem mode, nothing, until I woke up today and it seemed to be working, was pleased, so pleased that I cancelled the engineer appointment, 20 minutes later same thing.
My friend thinks it's the Superhub, and so do I.
I put it into modem mode again today and after a few hours the connection came back, and then a few hours later it dropped.
An engineer has just left, what he told me was that the omnibox?? on the outside was overheating, badly, so he has replaced the box with a white one, and replaced the white plug that connects to the box on the wall.
He monitored the connection for 10 minutes to make sure it was fine.
I will also monitor the connection for some time to see how it goes.
