Internet Issues. Cannot access parts of the Internet

__
Dialled in

Over the last couple of days I've my internet connection has randomly dropped. It's normally back in seconds.
Today (right now) I have an internet connection but I cannot get to some websites / IP addreses.
I can get to 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS) and I'm not having issues posting here. But
I cannot ping my own website. A traceroute just seems to be bouncing between 2 Virgin IP addresses when try:

Tracing route to {redacted}.com [185.151.30.{redacted}]

Is there maintenance work going on? I tried the "test you connection" link but it isn't working.
Here https://www.virginmedia.com/support/help/service-status but I get this:
"Sorry, we can’t run a test on your services right now"

Do NOT quote the area, they are only used for billing purposes and there are duplicates in distance parts of the country. They are useless for giving your location. If you want to show your location quote first part of the post code.

Tv services are back online bs22 area but internet still off with the Hub 4 flashing white then blue then a strange green .

Can now confirm all services restored in my area bs22 .

VM site was down for maintenance and CLOUDFARE were also doing so in Manchester so anyone who uses them would have outages but not sure if that is what effected VM mobile as system may rely on it also.

CLOUDFARE:

MAN (Manchester) on 2023-04-04
In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Apr 04, 2023 - 00:30 UTC
Scheduled - We will be performing scheduled maintenance in MAN (Manchester) datacenter on 2023-04-04
between 00:30 and 06:30 UTC. Traffic might be re-routed from this location, hence there is a possibility of a
slight increase in latency during this maintenance window for end-users in the affected region. For PNI / CNI
customers connecting with us in this location, please make sure you are expecting this traffic to fail over
elsewhere during this maintenance window as network interfaces in this datacentre may become temporarily
unavailable.

a routing loop very bad😯

Farnborough CMTS 9 in common with the rest will have a default route advertised to it by the core. The actual core routers themselves, above, won't. No BGP advertisements into the network, no routing past the core.

As mentioned elsewhere nothing at all to do with Cloudflare. Even sites hosted via Cloudflare would've been unaffected besides a slight increase in latency as mentioned in the udpate. They'd have ended up going to London or another Cloudflare DC. The whole point of using Cloudflare is that websites aren't single-homed so an outage in any single DC doesn't bring anything down.

The VM website lives in the VM network with DDoS protection provided via Liberty Global's Aorta network, not Cloudflare.

I do not know for 100% sure but it was at least info on the fact 1.1.1.1 was dead and Cloudfare were doing work the same time VM site was down for the ame reason and I did state I was not sure if VM use them.

Cloudflare also stated there could be disruptions if you fully read it.

Now we know more as it is 10-12 hours later so hindsight is a great thing.
