Internet Dropping between 12am and 1am every night

Hi

As subject suggests, my internet (wired) drops every morning at same time! I am usually working these hours and becoming increasingly frustrating. I have to reboot the router and wait 15 minutes before I am able to continue.

This is frustrating any suggestions? Also why is it impossible to get hold off people! I tried to phone but can only phone using MS Teams which uses internet, and to speak to a technical consultant they want to reboot your internet! which will disable my call.

Also if I am on MaxIT, should I be requesting a Hub 4? I'm currently on Hub 3 and Wifi was so poor I had to spend £100 on a ubiquiti AP to extend for security cameras etc.

Re: Internet Dropping between 12am and 1am every night

How long has this been going on? VM often do system work/upgrades at that time but usually not for prolonged periods.

Hub4 unlikely to help and you cant request one

Can you not call the CS line ( 0345 454 1111) on a mobile - call at 08.00 to get through quickly

To get a record as "evidence" can you follow the protocol below...

if you haven’t already, set up a free and secure “Broadband Quality Monitor” to continually monitor the state of your connection and record any true network dropouts , latency issues, packet drops, etc - it will thus allow you to differentiate between those and simple wifi dropouts. It does it 24/7/365 and it keeps a visual record of any/all of your network disconnections, useful data to have to match to the Network logs (in your Hub settings) and also in discussions with VM - note it will take a few hours to start seeing a sensible picture - post up the “link” to the “share live graph” (as per instructions on the TB website) when it starts to develop.

Re: Internet Dropping between 12am and 1am every night

It's every single night though, I assumed would be some patching or something but its really annoying and I can't be the only one frustrated.

Its affecting my work as I have to stop, then I struggle with motivation to finish, after waiting 15 minutes to log back on. The fact it can happen anytime within that period means I can't be on calls etc either and I can't be the only one doing remote calls at that point.

Thanks

Nick

Do get a BQM going it will provide evidence to VM if you need to pursue it with them
