Intermittent packet loss, high latency throughout the day

Hi, 

I've been noticing more and more recently that my connection quality is pretty ropey.  Checking against my router's connection monitor and via an external ping checker I can see intermittent packet loss at the gateway and many latency spikes and drop outs.  

I've tried the usual modem restarts, router restarts, etc.  

Here's today: 



And the last couple of days:


 This is the connection quality from the router side, the blue line at the bottom indicating the frequent WAN gateway timeouts: 

What's my best course of action here?  The connection doesn't actually drop, but it's enough to make my VPN to work reconnect, my video calls drop, and online gaming is nigh on impossible during to the poor connection quality overall as evidenced in the top graph yellow spikes.  😞

Have you checked the 'Check Service Status' at the top of the page?

If nothing is showing try phoning 0800 561 0061, this will tell you of more local issues that may not be affecting the area. Be aware that it isn't a manned 

then

Type 192.168.0.1 (192.168.100.1 in Modem mode ) into your browser URL bar and press enter.  When the page appears DO NOT LOG IN but click ‘Check Router Status’. Copy and paste the contents of each tab onto here, a Guru will be along soon to decipher the info.

Looking at a few things from here 

We would need to get an engineer to attend

Your downstream power levels are causing this 

Plus we know how needy children are these days
