Why is my broadband so unreliable lately? This is affecting my working from home during the day, and the kids' (and my) gaming at night - lag warping all over the game maps, server disconnects, ping spikes of 300 to 500 ms, T3 time-outs. What on Earth is going on, Virgin? WS10 area.
Also, why does the 5GHz SSID on my Hub 3 keep getting renamed to '1' - does it do this when running the diagnostics from the status page? It seems to coincide, or it is just doing it randomly. How is that helping anyone? I keep having to log back into the router to rename it back again. What a faff...!
Also getting problems with the TiVo, with glitchy, pixellating, artefacting picture every few seconds, almost unwatchable, and catch-up & on-demand also mostly unwatchable for anything more than a few minutes, as it just comes up with frequent 602, C130 and N27 errors.
And before anybody says, have you tried turning it off and on again, yes, I have. And, no, it does not cure the problem, for either the Hub 3, or the TiVo box. Points to a networking fault or capacity issue somewhere. Is this the result of extra Covid-related network traffic > saturation > latency?
Prices go up, performance goes down. Incredible. Any bright ideas that don't involve the on/off switch... other than change ISP completely?
