Intermittent broadband issues

Hi all,

Unfortunately we have seen a repeat of an earlier issue which is causing intermittent broadband connectivity problems for some Virgin Media customers. We apologise again to those impacted our teams are continuing to work flat out to find the root cause of the problem and fix it.

Issue looks to be VM-->Liberty Global nodes. Continual BGP updates, same as overnight. Red in this graphic is not good.

Virgin just sent me a private message! I thought wow, a comment on today's shambles. It's better than that

"Congratulations! You have a new rank in the Virgin Media Help & Support Community"

This makes up for everything. I cannot work properly and my kids are driving me nuts because some things refuse to work. However with this new dialled in rank I feel elated.

My team found Open DNS to be the problem with Virgin media, hence the change to google DNS, try it and let me know, I just made the change and my connection is running like butter

There's a reason I don't use anything google...

1.1.1.1 was dead last night/this morning for me and many others.

Just made the change on my estate of omada cloud routers and all of them are now working at all VM sites

Echo similar comments, I don't think it's DNS server related. I've been using 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 for years as the router DHCP DNS servers and was affected by both outages today.
