Intermittent Drop Out

My Broadband just goes down and I have to reboot the hub, sometimes this is successful, sometimes not. This has been happening for 3 years. I have had the engineer out and he says there isn't a problem but there is. I cant run training courses from home with any confidence. My neighbour who had a new connection 18 months ago does not have a problem. The box is outside the house and the cable connection is 18yrs old. Ringing 150 and been told to reset the box with a biro after an hour had not effect at all. The consensus speaking to others is that I probably need a new connection to the box which is outside my house. I have been a customer for 22 years.!

Re: Intermittent Drop Out

Please provide some stats.

How to get stats from a VM hub (no need to logon to the hub)

Open a web browser and go to 192.168.0.1 router mode or 192.168.100.1 modem mode

  • Click on the “> Check router status” button
  • Click on the “Downstream” tab, copy the text and paste into your reply, do not take a screen shot
  • Click on the “Upstream” tab, copy the text and paste into your reply
  • Click on the “Networking” tab, copy the text and paste into your reply.
    • Do NOT post photos or screen shots they will be rejected as they contain MAC addresses. The board software will automatically change MAC addresses to **:** if done as above.
