Intermittent Connection

Hi,

Hope you are all safe and well,

I appear to be having intermittent issues with my WAN connection.

Here is a traceroute to Google DNS from a computer directly connected to the Super Hub via ethernet.

A continuous ping to 192.168.0.1 shows no drops, but when I set a continuous to 80.3.146.114 I'm getting intermittent drops, this is causing issues with online gaming. 10.5.160.1 is not my network and apart of Virgin Media's but is not responding to ICMP so I can't continuous ping this layer 3 interface.

I've done the usual such as rebooting the hub but the issue is still present. Any ideas?

Your downstream levels are too low.

Is there an attenuator fitted to the back of the hub?

Hi Gary,

Thank you for the incredibly quick reply!

No attenuator, straight up coax from the back of the hub to where ever it goes back to. It is a Super Hub 2 so if I upgrade it does the Super Hub 3 come with one?

No it won’t.

You'll likely need an engineer visit to resolve
