I have phoned twice to check when an engineer is schedule to visit and have had no confirmation by email/text

Any appointment should be shown in your MyVirginmedia account. It it isn't shown then there isn't one.
If you requested a visit for a fault it may have been cancelled because there is a wider area issue.
What was the visit for, and who promised it?

I just was informed of the delivery but I also need an engineer to sort out my WiFi which is not working and it is the date of that visit I have not been able to establish.
