I have 2 SSIDs. How do I go back to only having 1 again?

I replaced my hub the other day, but now i have 2 ssids. One titles "ssid" and another with "ssid 2", how do I go back to one and why do i have 2 in the first place?

Re: I have 2 SSIDs. How do I go back to only having 1 again?

These are the instructions for the Hub 3 to separate the SSIDs.

Jus carry out the reverse.

Best done with a cable connected device.

Instructions for Hub 3

Log in to the Hub.

Advanced Settings > Wireless Signal > click ‘Disable Channel Optimization’ > Click ‘Apply Changes’.

Advanced Settings > Wireless > Security > Add 2 to the 2.4GHz Channel name [SSID] > Add 5 to the 5 GHz Channel name [SSID] > Click ‘Apply Changes’

You can leave the passwords the same as they are.

Log out of the Hub then reboot using this method ...

Switch the Hub off using the small switch on the rear of the Hub next to the power cord and pull the PSU plug from the wall socket.

Give it a good 5 minutes put the plug back in and switch the Hub back on.

Allow the Hub a few minutes to fully restart then try your Wi-Fi again.

Hi, try doing a pinhole reset. Push the reset button in for 15 seconds then release for 5 secconds. Do this 3 times and then wait 15 mins for it to load up.. This will set everything back to default

Regards

Rich

I followed the instructions but when it comes to removing the "2", it isn't even there. Both networks have the same name, the 5ghz and the 2ghz

Is that after doing the pinhole reset?

I’m assuming you’re referring to the network names on your PC or laptop?

If it looks like the example picture below it can be ignored as it’s just the way Windows sometimes handles WiFi SSID naming;

Yep even after pin reset with the old hub i had, it never had this problem. I actually have two "super" hub 3s right now, the previous one never came up like this.

Yes, it does show up like that.

But my thing, the hub prior did not have this.
