I can’t access Shpock when on Virgin Broadband

Hi 👋 

I am having trouble accessing the Shpock website and mobile app. It is effecting all devices that are connected to the WiFi. However the website and mobile app works just fine when connected to another WiFi network or mobile data 4g.

Anybody know what I can do to get this working?

Try the hub in modem mode with a PC.

Hi Farmeen,

I am an engineer from Shpock, and would like to try to help figure out this issue. Based on some other similar reports, it seems like Virgin Media is for an unknown reason blocking some of our used internet domains, which are used for delivering images or other web content.

It would be great if you could try to temporarily disable the Web Safe filters in your Router/Modem configuration, by following the guide here: https://www.virginmedia.com/help/how-to-use-websafe

If this helps, it would be proof that Virgin Media is blocking our content for some reason. I have today submitted a request to Virgin Media support to stop this unjustified block and hope that they will resolve this issue soon.

I have turned off websafe and Shpock works fine now.
