Been trying since installed (few months) to get the VM Connect app to recognise the hub3 so I can limit my children’s access but alas it hasn never worked despite reinstalling app, resetting hub, checking VPN, everything that is suggested, even had to wait until time off work to contact them for them to say they couldn’t help and to post on here! 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ the only reason I went with virgin was so I could limit my children’s access, it’s been a nightmare ever since

You dont need connect for that.

Log into the Hub settings page on a browser (http://192.168.0.1/) and make all the changes there.

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

I'd avoid pausing any devices, it is not effective now mobiles and laptops all support MAC Address Randomisation.

If you see an unknown device, do not pause it !   It may turn out to be your phone / laptop or office VPN etc.
