Hi,I’m setting up Hikvision cctv via Virgin hub 4, but ports don’t seem to open when port forwarding. I can view cameras on LAN but not externally. All ports open according to hub but closed when checking with canyouseeme etc. Any hep appreciated.

This happens to a lot of people you need to use hub in modem mode and get a better router with 1Gb ports.

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately it looks like I’ll  have to do just that.

Is putting the hub4 into modem mode as simple as just changing to modem mode in the settings on hub4, and plugging a new router into it, then port forwarding from new router. Would like to be able to hide the hub 4 behind the sofa and just have one router in show rather than both.

Yes its that simple like 20 odd years ago their was no router mode..
