Hub3 - Upgrade to Hub4 with Deco M9's

Hello,

I currently have a Hub3 running very nicely in modem mode with Deco M9's handling the wifi in the house. All is well.

I am updating to 1gb in a couple of days and I believe this will require a hub 4 - this can also go in modem mode.

There was some steps to go through with switching router/modem mode on to setup the Deco's initially. Is there any steps required when changing/updating the hub ?

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers

Leave the Deco up and running, but do not connect to Hub4. Connect a device to the Hub4 with a Ethernet cable. Set the Hub4 up to be in modem mode. Disconnect wired device. Connect Deco to Hub4 and reboot hub.

Re: Hub3 - Upgrade to Hub4 with Deco M9's

Thank you this worked and I got full speed with Ethernet to the hub (not unexpected).

Getting half speed (similar to my m500) package from Wi-Fi via the Deco M9’s.

Wonder if using different mesh devices I.e x68’s would provide better throughput.
