Hub not working think it’s a cable issue

  • Hub not working. Think it’s a cable connection to the hub is an issue.

Green light for internet connection is solid green colour but base light (rectangular light at the bottom on Hub 3) is flashing green. 
Tried several times to switch on and off with no luck. Called Virgin several times and automated response is that the hub is not connected (which it is). 
When connecting to the hub via my phone, all WiFi bars are lit on the phone (suggesting connectivity) but cannot access the internet.

Is this a new installation?  Was it working OK previously?

No... not a new installation. Was working fine on Monday. Contacted Virgin and apparently our area’s broadband was down but was back online by 3pm yesterday. Thought that was the issue but apparently not. Area back online and after auto mated checks by Virgin, the hub is not connected. But it is!

Service status page? Not sure what you mean. But I’ve called Virgin and they’re not indicating an issue in the area and checked via the app, our area does not show an issue.

So what did support say when you called them? Have they arranged an engineer for you?

I couldn’t get through to a ‘human being’, all automated. 
I think I’ll need to call an engineer. 
Anyway, thanks for your help.
