Hub 5 fail

Gypsycat
Tuning in

I've just upgraded to the Hub 5 from the Hub 3. It arrived last Tues and I've had nothing but problems since. The internet keeps dropping. The TV seems to be fine but it's not working so well on our 2 phones. Sites won't load. An engineer came out on Friday and fitted a splitter but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. At the moment I'm wishing I had my 3 back but I've already returned it 😕 Any advice?

Can you post some stats. Go to 192.168.0.1 (router mode) or 192.168.100.1 (modem mode), do not log in, click on the link "Check Router Status". Copy and paste the Downstream, Upstream and Network Logs as text (not images). Mask any public IP address.

This is taking ages cos it keeps cutting out

It wouldn't allow me to copy and paste any more on here. Kept coming up with a warning and incorrect html notices. I don't understand what I'm looking at. The network log had a lot of 'warning' and 'notice' in the priority column if that helps at all.

The same has been happening to me for the last month, and since I moved to the new Hub 5 and the 1GB connection. It’s been appalling.

Still not letting me do it. I've got an engineer coming on Tues now but can I just get my Hub 3 back? The Hub 5 really is a massive fail so far!

Up to speed

I’m having similar issues. Had a hub 4 before and that was giving me issues. They thought it was the hub so they replaced with a hub 5 and it’s been really bad. I never had the internet disconnect but now with the hub 5 I get regular disconnection. I always leave my hubs in modem mode. I’m going to follow this thread.

On our wavelength

Good luck to you chaps about getting this fixed. I have the 1gb hub 5 constant high pings when gaming. I am still trying after 5 months for a fix. All they want to do is cancel my contract over 30 days and not fix the issues. If I were you, cancel Virgin Media, and go somewhere else. Unfortunately, I cannot as it's low bit rate copper to my house.
