So I upgraded from Hub 4 to 5 this week via a simple WhatsApp message to VM. That bit couldn’t have been easier…

I set up the Hub 5 last last night (straight out of the box, no router settings tweaked). Some definite speed improvements but I’ve had to keep the Wi-Fi pods in my old 1904 build house.

Wireless Speed increase in the same room as the router: 800Mbps on iPhone 14 Pro up from 550Mbps

Wireless speed on Microsoft Surface laptop bought last year: 1120Mbps

Hub5 is working well with the wifi pods. Speed not as good as direct wireless connection to Hub5 but I suspect that the limitations of the pods is a factor.

20 devices connected throughout the house at most times.

Pretty pleased so far…

Good and correct your POD's are WIFI5 ac, PLUME have had WIFI 6 models since Feb 2022 and more recently WIFI6 E models.

There was mention of newer POD here for the HUB5 users, but no one has confirmed they have WIFI 6 POD's from VM AFAIK.
