Hub 5 a little underwhelming - dns and dhcp questions

I have recently purchased the 1G service and I am quite happy with the speed but dissapointed with the features in the Hub5.

I can see no place to change the DNS resolver in the dhcp settings of the hub.  I know that ISP's track users browsing habits via dns but I would expect when buying a premuim service there would be the ability to change the dns resolver.

It also appears that the hub5 only supports the 192.168.0.x subnet which is a pain as I needed to reconfigure all my no dhcp supported/static ip address devices.

Has anybody got the Hub5 to operate as a proper DHCP server rather than a crippled one?

Carl beat me to it 😎....

You can get a decent introductury wireless router for £40-70 that will circumvent the issue

£36...   https://www.amazon.co.uk/Archer-C6-Wireless-Supports-Parental/dp/B07L5YRYF4

Or £70 for Wifi6...  https://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-HomeShield-Compatible-Archer-AX53/dp/B09TPKT929/

You cannot change DNS, and even though you could in the HUB 4, the HUB 5 does not allow subnet changes.

You'll need to purchase your own mesh system/router to overcome these limitations.

99.9% of VM's customers wouldn't need, or even know they could, make changes like this so they don't bother adding the functionality.

I'd suggest a system that has at least one 2.5Gbps Ethernet port so you don't lose any bandwidth, however they tend to be more expensive.
