Hub 5 Settings?

I activated my new Hub 5 this morning.

When I activated Hub 5, and followed the advice to split the 2g and 5g, everything worked and all by devices are online.

However, I am getting slightly slower download speeds on the Hub 5 than the Hub 2 on some devices. The router is in a same place in the house.

Looking at the router can you tell me what settings to have for:

1) Should 'channel' be set to 'Manual' or 'Auto' for 2g and 5g?
2) What should 'channel width' be for the 2g and 5g frequencies?
3) What should the security settings be?

Perhaps these settings may improve my speeds?

Also, any tips on how to improve signal strength?

Thanks for posting on our community forum and sorry to hear the speeds are slightly slower.

 

I've had a remote check and everything on our end seems fine, the settings you choose are entirely up to you - I'd suggest having a look through our WiFi help links for some tips on improving the speeds, this can be found here.

 

Are you experiencing any issues via a wired ethernet connection?
