Hi,
Can any of the lovely Mods please run a check on the line serving my Hub 5, thanks. About 50% of the channels have a very excessive number of PreRS errors which continually build up to 1000's of millions. I have power cycled the Hub, and run it with and without the attenuator. This only started about a week ago. The stats below are just after a reboot. Cheers.

Hopefully some closure. 🙂
Tech visited and swapped out the Hub, so far no more Downstream PreRS huge numbers. These would have been prevalent immediately on the old Hub, so fingers crossed.....

Is this behaviour the new normal since software version : LG-RDK_6.9.35-2302.6
on 06-10-2023 18:33
Looks like noise ingress to me, some of those channels span the DAB radio frequencies.
on 06-10-2023 19:35
Another possibility is a bad amp in the street cabinet. Definitely think you need a technician’s visit.
on 06-10-2023 23:43
@Tudor Agree. Nothing has been touched or changed on site. This anomaly just appeared out of the blue before the firmware change. Most likely something faulty in the cabinet. Hopefully a simple card change in the cabinet?

Hi @Adduxi thanks for your post here in the Community, we're sorry to hear of your concerns and hope you're well.
We're struggling to run tests on your Hub from here, so please allow me to send you a PM so I can look into this further for you and send a technician if necessary.
Please respond directly when you can!
Many thanks

Hi @Adduxi thanks for your co-operation via PM - we're going back publicly now.
So we've ran checks and there aren't any issues on the line we can identify, at the time of the checks being ran all the channels (including downstream) are within specifications so your services should be running perfectly.
What issues are you having with the service please, is it intermittency or low speeds for example?
Many thanks

Hi @Tom_W1
Yes, the power levels are within limits and the BQM i have is fine. However if you look at the stats being reported by the Hub, they are odd. I can't say I've noticed any issues with the circuit, but something is amiss. These errors have only shown up within the past couple of weeks out of the blue. There have been no changes to my end at all. I'm wondering if you say there are no issues on my circuit, maybe the problem is with the Hub 5? For the many years I had the old white trial Hub 3, I've never seen this before.
Anyway, here are the latest stats from the Hub 5, it's on the latest firmware LG-RDK_6.9.35-2302.6, and the uptime is 3 days. As you can note, the Downstream PreRS errors on 50% of the channels are reporting huge numbers and the 3.1 Upstream channel also has a large number of T3 errors.
Please see what you can gather from this information as to whether or not a new Hub or a tech visit would be needed.

@Tom_W1 Hub fell over last night at approx 21:30 as recorded by my BQM. I had to do a pinhole reset this morning to get the Hub back up again. Upon reboot, the huge amount of PreRS errors have started again on the same 50% of the Downstream channels, and I think there is an issue that needs VM to sort. Can this be picked up please. If this Hub is going to fail every 5 or 6 days uptime, that's not acceptable.
